City Facts
Eaton Rapids was discovered in 1837. It was incorporated and chartered as a city back in 1881.
It is called the Island City because the business district is surrounded by the Grand River.
According to the 2010 census, the city has a population of 5,214 residents in 3.5 square miles.
Today, you can find shopping, fine dining, theater and cultural activities throughout the city.
Eaton Rapids supports the recreational outdoor life with its lakes, golf course, public parks and beaches.
